Homecoming Celebration

First Presbyterian Church has been blessed, and has been a blessing, for over 127 years in the Bessemer Community.  From our church's humble beginning in 1887, Reverend J. R. Howerton and several saints in Bessemer saw a need for a Presbyterian church.  This Body of Christ has served its congregation and the community in His love until the present time.

A Homecoming celebration is being planned for September 27 and 28, for remembrance and fellowship.  On Saturday, the building will be open from 10:00 AM until 02:00 PM with music in our sanctuary and memorials throughout the building.  On Sunday, our worship service will begin at 10:30 AM with former pastors and music personnel conducting a special worship service, followed by a time of fellowship and light snacks.

Please place the dates on your calendars, bring your family, children and grandchildren, and share memories with other you have known through the years at First Presbyterian.

For further information, please contact the church office at 205-424-3950.

We look forward to seeing you, renewing relationships, and sharing memories.
